3D scanning is a fast, non-contact method for capturing the exact size and shape of a physical object and converting it into precise digital data. EMS3D uses handheld laser scanners, structured-light scanners, long-range scanners, and other metrology systems to record millions of measurement points, creating an accurate 3D representation of the part.

The process typically includes on-site or in-lab scanning, data cleanup and alignment, and—when required—CAD modeling or dimensional inspection reporting.

Yes. EMS3D routinely works on-site throughout the U.S., scanning turbines, vehicles, molds, boats, and full facilities. All equipment is portable and designed for factories, shipyards, power plants, and secure environments. EMS3D is ITAR registered.

Depending on your needs, we deliver:

Turnaround depends on size, complexity, deliverables, and location. Some projects are completed the same day, while larger or full reverse-engineering efforts may take several weeks. We provide a clear schedule after reviewing your requirements.
